Tragedy struck the peaceful Ban community in Heipang, Plateau State, when a surprise attack by armed men left a trail of devastation in its wake. According to eyewitnesses, the attack occurred at around 11 pm on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, catching residents off guard. The swift and ruthless assault resulted in the lives of two people being lost, and several others were left fighting for their lives as they were rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
The severity of the situation was compounded by the fact that one of the injured victims was a student of the Plateau State Polytechnic, who unfortunately succumbed to their gunshot wounds.
