A disturbing case out of Florida has left many reeling after a middle school teacher allegedly used his relationship with a student's mother to gain access to her 13-year-old daughter. Daniel Le Lievre, a 41-year-old educator, is accused of grooming the teenager for months while in a romantic relationship with her mother, before eventually committing a heinous act of sexual assault at his home.
According to a police report, when the relationship between Le Lievre and the woman ended, he allegedly confessed to her that he had only been dating her to get closer to her daughter. This confession raises even more red flags about Le Lievre's behavior, who had previously been investigated in 2024 for violating policies related to student abuse, abandonment, and neglect, as well as his relationship with students.
Le Lievre taught at Tuskawilla Middle School in Oviedo, Florida, and his arrest on multiple charges, including sexual battery, has sent shockwaves through the community. The young victim, who was 13 at the time of the assault, reported to investigators that Le Lievre had sex with her during the 2023-2024 holiday break at his home, where the family had spent the night. Le Lievre allegedly told her to strip and then committed the assault, warning her not to tell anyone.
The mother and daughter initially reported the incident to police in February 2026, after the woman had caught Le Lievre having late-night phone conversations with her daughter and even witnessed
