Tragedy Strikes Family in Bengaluru, India - 29-Year-Old Mother Takes Her Own Life After Infant's Accident

Just a day before April Fool's Day, a devastating incident took place in Bengaluru, India, that claimed the lives of a young mother and her 11-month-old son. The heart-wrenching incident occurred on Wednesday, April 1, at the family's home when Pratibha, a 29-year-old software professional, was left alone with her child, Agastya. While her husband, Mahantesh, was at work, Pratibha briefly stepped out to collect dry clothes from the terrace, leaving her little one unattended.

Unfortunately, during this brief period, Agastya managed to crawl into the washing area and accidentally fell into a bucket of water. When Pratibha returned, she found her child lifeless in the bucket, and unable to cope with the tragedy, she took drastic measures. Pratibha slit her wrist, consumed some pills, and ultimately hanged herself, leaving behind a heartbreaking note.

Mahantesh, who returned home from work at around 6:30 pm, was met with a nightmare scenario - he found his wife and child dead inside the house. The police investigation revealed that Pratibha had written a note taking responsibility for her child's death, explaining that the incident occurred while she was briefly away. The note also revealed that she had attempted to take her own life
